Aimed at primary and secondary school teachers<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In such a complex and sometimes insensitive world, we need to learn to manage emotions in an intelligent way and help our students do so. An excellent resource can be puppets. These objects act as mediators of emotions and as natural communicators. The direct connection with the user explains its effectiveness in emotional education. The intimate bond with the puppet as an extension of one's own self, fosters in the child, young person or adult a feeling of trust.<\/p>

In this stay we will see how emotional education is worked on in a special education classroom of an ordinary school with the help of puppets. A theoretical part will give us some methodological guidelines and a practical part will make us experience what students feel when they use this resource.<\/p>

It is said that some time ago, in a small and distant village, there was an abandoned house.<\/i><\/p>

One day, a puppy looking for refuge from the sun, managed to get through a hole in one of the doors of this house.<\/i><\/p>

The puppy slowly climbed the old wooden stairs. When he had finished climbing, he came across a half-open door, and slowly entered the room. To his surprise, he realized that inside this room were 1,000 more puppies watching him as intently as he watched them.<\/i><\/p>

The puppy began to wag its tail and lift its ears slowly. The 1,000 puppies did the same. He later smiled and embroidered them cheerfully. The puppy was surprised to see that the 1,000 puppies also smiled at him and barked happily at him. When he left the room he thought to himself: <\/i><\/p>

What a nice place !. I will come to visit you more often!<\/i><\/p>

Some time later, another street puppy entered the same place and found himself entering the same room. But unlike the first, this puppy on seeing the other 1,000 in the room felt threatened as they were looking at him aggressively. He later began to growl; he obviously saw the 1,000 puppies growl at him too. When this puppy left the room he thought: <\/i><\/p>

What a horrible place this is! I will never go in there again!<\/i><\/p>

In front of this house was an old sign that said: "The house of 1,000 mirrors." You are not responsible for the face you have, you are responsible for the face you put on. "All the faces of the world are mirrors"\u2026<\/i><\/p>

Decide which face you will wear inside and this will be what you will show.<\/i><\/p>

With this story I have always started my classes and also an activity to unite a very busy third grade group, with constant conflicts and a lack of respect between them and sometimes with the teachers. I will explain how I used the puppets to lay the foundations, with the help of the tutor, to create the feeling of group, mutual respect, resolving conflicts positively without the need for adult intervention,\u00a0 <\/span>emotional control and becoming positive personally to deal with everyday situations effectively.<\/p>

We need to help children have the tools to deal with the death of those they love, and sometimes also to deal with their own, or also to deal with other kinds of losses: leaving the country where they have lived, separating friends, pairs<\/p>

Many teachers and educators come across students who have suffered losses in the family or from someone close to them. Most do not have the resources to regulate the emotions of these children and cannot give strategies to make them accept it in the best possible way. I\u2019m talking about emotional education. The ability to express emotions in a way that has a positive impact on oneself and others becomes a fundamental aspect for social development.<\/p>

The aim of this activity is to show you a material and strategies so that you can open windows that give way in a natural way, to the emotions that these circumstances cause: pain, anger, fear, grief\u2026 and channel them d 'a balanced and sensible way.<\/p>

The expressive technique used by Joan Brossa is very useful for developing and managing personal creativity with children and adults. This basically practical activity allows you to get inside your imagination and use the way we do to create our poems. The session is focused on understanding the work of Joan Brossa in order to apply this knowledge and perform activities with our students in class and is divided into three parts:<\/p>

The inventor of absurd and funny objects?\u00a0 <\/span>The poet of verses that do not look like verses?\u00a0 <\/span>The playwright who wrote theater that was not theater? Or that little man who commented on what was happening in society?\u2026<\/p>

Brossa always worked on the basis of the association of the impossible, with the intention of surprising and making the reader or spectator reflect.
