Working with puppets in the hospital.

The activity takes place in the obstetrics and gynecology room.

Some women have recently had surgery.

"We started calling women to the different rooms.

The appointment was in the great hall for the puppet workshop.

At the table in the great hall we unfolded materials.

Some aspects of the puppets and our proposed activity were explained. 

Then the puppet was made. During the construction, the women were open and laughing, commenting on the features of the puppets that were coming out of their hands. Childhood memories, jokes, impressions 

The creative process is a discovery, where possibilities unfold that some people did not even know they had, or had forgotten.The last part of the workshop was the staging. 

The different characters were introduced and from there some situation of interaction between them so that they could improvise.At first they were a little inhibited, but then they let go and had fun. 

In the activity a link between the patients was noticed. They commented that the important thing was to have a group together and share what they were experiencing and give each other support.  

When we finished the workshop we were told that they had recently heard bad news from a colleague. Our workshop proposal is not: "forgotten about suffering", if not to broaden the gaze, not to look the other way denying the suffering, if not to integrate it, and yet to be able to resort to these forces that all We humans have to fight for life, hope and joy. ”
