Cacanimals
story by Benoït Charlat
Level: Childhood education. P-3 and P-4
Disorder: Mental Retardation
Technique: Stem puppets
The mentally retarded student has difficulty converting objects and actions into symbols and storing them in memory. This activity allows you to mimic the puppet's actions and identify with the character, as well as help him retain the action and image for as long as possible.
The information given is concrete, accurate, organized and simple to reinforce the learning of the habit.
The slogan is simplicity and repetition.
The activity period is short, as the learning processes of these students are very slow.
The technique used with the puppets is upper stem. The handling is basic and allows you to grab them to sit on the toilet.

- The teacher tells the story with puppets and then performs with the students.
- The teacher tells the story with puppets. The student who wants to work with the habit paints and builds the puppet chick (character identification) and with the help of the teacher makes the representation of the story.
- The teacher tells the story with puppets and the students paint the animal templates and make their own puppet. Then they act out the story in groups.
After the stagings, the animals stage and poop on the toilet for real. The student we want to work with always has the chicken puppet (it's his double). This student can take the story home to play and act out with their parents.
